Glamping in Style: Airstream Adventures at FireFly Resort - Summer Fun in Fredericksburg, TX!
We apologize to our subscribers and followers for taking a hiatus from content creation. We took a much-needed break and left the camera in the trailer for the most part. We’re back now!
We re-visited FireFly Resort in Fredericksburg, Texas, for four nights in August 2024. Our previous trip was at the end of Deceember 23' and we have been wanting to get back to Firefly! We stayed a few sites over from the last site we had there. Our friends booked one of the more premier sites that had a cabana, firepit, grill, and more!
This trip to this resort cost us under $300 for 5 nights, and we think it is a good bang for the buck, especially in the summer when you’re able to use the amazing pool, grills, entertainment, and concierge service (trash pickup daily etc). The whole location is super nice and safe. There is talk the next phase they are building now will have a heated pool, but do not take that to the bank. I do hope with the expansion it does not lose the charm it does have. While there are a lot of sites, it still does not feel overrun.
All pads seem to be level, power is rock solid, and these are all full hookup sites. There are a lot of rules and Firefly Resorts makes it very clear this is not a campground, but a world class resort. We are not wild people and do not feel the rules were too overbearing. RV's must be 10 years or newer, or have special permission from the resort to stay. I don't see anyone with an Airstream having an issue regardless of the age as we saw a few older models there.
The pool was absolutely amazing, and its BYOB (no glass). One day we brought our cooler packed with drinks, and food and spent most the day at the pool. When we got hungry, it was nice to turn on one of their three commercial grills and cook some food while still hanging out at the pool. The bathrooms and showers are top-notch. The people we encountered were all friendly and easy to get along with, and there was plenty of seating at the pool - tables, chairs, and pool loungechairs. The upper infinity pool overlooks the beautiful Hill Country, and it is for adults only. The lower pool is for kids only, a nice balance for all I guess, we didn’t and do have an issue either way. All weekend there was live music at the pool which was really awesome, and they brought in a local food truck multiple days for lunch and dinner.
